I found this painting while I was searching google for pictures of Calcutta and that was when I thought I should try to paint it myself. That is how this came about.
I am personally very fond of taking a tram ride at Calcutta. It actually gives you a feel of the royal heritage that Calcutta exhibits even today. The tram ride towards the Maidan and southwards cantering across the green playgrounds of the city, is one amongst many attractions of the city of joy.
